OUR-MISSION
To assist with having accredited Mental Health First Aiders in every organisation in Australia, offering immediate first aid and support to those in need.

FOUNDED
Mental Health Education Group was founded because of two reasons. Necessity and Belief. Although Damien and David come from different working backgrounds, they are both in agreeance of the absolute need for mental health education and training in ALL areas of the community. They have seen first-hand the effect of a mental health disorder on individuals they know and care for and the subsequent impact it has on it has on their thinking, emotional state, ability to work, carry out day to day activities and engage in satisfying personal relationships.
They also recognised the landscape was changing for organisations; through gaining accreditation to deliver the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course, MHEG realised they had the underpinning tool that could make a difference and initiate change. MHFA is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, or in a mental health-related crisis, until appropriate professional treatment is received or the crisis resolves.

Coupling their extensive experience in training and education, involvement in working with those with disabilities and the unwavering belief that the course has a tremendously positive impact on individuals and organisations, they can offer industry leading delivery of the course in a secure, tailored manner.
Damien and David are not psychiatrists or psychologists, they are engaging and attentive individuals who are wholly and solely committed to offering real world, solution based strategies to these sensitive topics. MHEG are forming strategic alliances with likewise businesses to offer this internationally accredited course to as many organisations as they can.
